Abstract

The present research aims to understand the experience of anxiety among professionals in the context of hyperconnection, through a phenomenological approach. The digital era has intensified exposure to social networks, the pressure for productivity, and the feeling of insufficiency, factors that have contributed to the increase in cases of anxiety, depression, and burnout. Grounded in authors such as Byung-Chul Han, Heidegger, Merleau-Ponty, and Binswanger, the study proposes to look at psychological suffering from the subjective experience of individuals, moving beyond merely diagnostic models.

The methodology involves both bibliographic and field research, with the application of a virtual questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with professionals in management positions, analyzed according to Minayo’s phenomenological content analysis technique. The study seeks to identify the impacts of hyperconnection on the mental health of these subjects, to understand the existential meaning attributed to anxiety, and to map the coping strategies employed. The research follows the ethical principles of Resolution 466/2012 and is aligned with guidelines for studies conducted in virtual environments. As a result, it aims to broaden the debate on mental health in the contemporary professional context and to contribute with insights for more humanized and effective preventive and interventional actions in the face of psychological suffering.
